JULY 2020 - part two

Covid protocols for the city pools mean you have to make a reservation and pay online and there's limited capacity... and we've loved it to be honest.

Proof I actually got in the pool and swam.

Main swimming activity is trying to dunk the parents. I generally put up an okay fight and then get taken down.

Back to church! At least sacrament I think? Maybe both hours? I'm a great historian ;).

Sunday lunch and games:

Formation! Just missing Clyde.

These handsome fellows came to school to move and set up a treadmill in my office!

It's been sitting in school storage for a while, so we're bringing it in to use for students needing to exert some energy before going back to class... we'll see if it works out!

Literally no idea what they're watching, but they seemed to be enjoying it:

... but yeah.

Signed Carma up for a cute li'l gymnastics class at the rec center:

Girls night! Plus Nycole who had to split early. If memory serves, this was an investigative night.

Suited up to face our number one enemy.... goatheads:

Filled a couple bags, got stabbed a few times, highly recommend.

Always a good time when Carma comes to summer school.

More fun with yo yo families:

Ella, Clara, Bailey, and Will put on some sort of play and it was obviously award-worthy.

Not super sure why I commissioned this picture, except that I look cute?

Pondering restorative justice type stuff....

Carma kills me.

She's just so freaking hilarious.

Oh man. Instagram caption: I’ve been winging this parenting thing long enough to know there isn’t a manual... but IF there was, do you think it would have a chapter about rock crises?? 😩 Specifically that two months ago Carma (under Uncle Cody’s tutelage) hammered open some rocks to examine the cool sparkly interiors. Just yesterday she decided that she LOVED passionately how this specific rock looked prior to the hammering and desperately wishes it was whole again... but would even be happy if I could promise that all rocks have another like twin rock? that looks identical and is preferably nearby for us to find 🤦🏻‍♀️. Girlfriend has literally been in tears two nights in a row because of this. All thoughts and prayers are appreciated at this time. Our current Carma-devised plan is to find the missing rock shards (again, from SOMETIME IN MAY) in Grandma Pam’s front yard and attempt to hot glue it all back together 🥴👀🤷🏻‍♀️🔨😭🗿⛏💎

So many emotions in one little body!

Another afternoon mountain biking:

Another afternoon at the pool...

One lovely Sunday afternoon we packed up the bikes and headed to the Boise Greenbelt for a lovely biking adventure with Grandpa Braden:

Adventures with Grandpa frequently include exploring the Boise River and skipping rocks!

Way cool covered area under the outreaching branches of a massive tree:

It's called fashion.

Series of pictures of these two Best Brothers:

Couldn't love them more. So glad they have each other.
