December 2k19: weekend in Logan

Insta caption: Awake by 6, allll the waffles and juice and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and in the pool and hot tub just before 8am. So grateful for kids that make sure we don’t miss a minute of this fun weekend trip 💖🤗🙃 (jk right about now I would pay money for kids that know how to sleep in and also whisper in hotel rooms 😅😭😂)

This is how I felt driving to FREEZING and SNOWY Logan, Utah in the middle of December:

So I didn't choose this hotel because of the amazing indoor slide with the pool... but oh man was it fun:

A new D.I.! Real joy right here.

AND the Pepperidge Farm thrift store, aka where they sell extras in big bundles and mess ups and stuff like that. Amazing.

Time to get gussied up for the actual reason for our trip - Dan the Man's wedding!

Beautiful church, beautiful people to be reunited with!

Chuck was a witness - here he is, carefully witnessing some signatures.

So happy for an Izatt - Swenson - Murphy reunion!!

Reception time - Carma rarely left the dance floor, obviously.

Insta caption: Marketing idea: fairly good looking family of six available to boost your wedding attendance. Will absolutely coordinate with your wedding colors, even if you prefer us not to. Payment plans available OR we will work for approximately 17 pieces of cake and the use of groom’s truck for 36 hours. Quite a deal! Book soon to save your spot!!

Swensons and Izatts! Minus Dan haha:

Cutest buddies.

Jack in Chuck's glasses:

Will's turn in the glasses!

Selfie with our new ride for the night - Dan's truck! Saturn broke down. Good times.

Cute girlie in the hotel lobby:

We drove by the Logan Temple, so pretty!

Churchhhhh Sunday morning:

Weirdest, cutest kids in the parking lot!

One more thumbs up picture ;).

Wellll instead of heading home Sunday afternoon, we hung out at Shelly's instead:

and then had Dan and the boys come over to the hotel for a swimming party:

This is how Carma feels about early morning trips to tow the car to get fixed:

Walked the kids across the street for haircuts haha.

Aaaaand more swimming:

And then we got the call that the car was fixed, hooray!

I did enjoy Dan's truck, though. Might have to buy it from him again sometime ;).

Back in the Saturn, time to drop off the truck and actually go home:

Insta caption: Sometimes Heavenly Father wants you to slow down a bit and enjoy 24 more hours of hotel livin’, amazing friends, and the land of Pepperidge Farm outlets 😍... so an alternator seizes up and the Izatts extend their stay to accommodate car repairs 🙌🏼. We’re home safe now and sure wish we could have packaged some Swensons to come back with us as easily we did two huge bags of orange Milano cookies. Sure had a hard time pulling away from those goodbye hugs today 💕
