Christmas celebrating with Grandpa Braden

We gathered at my church building to party with my dad while the boys were in town:
A great time was had by all - we had delicious food (pizza, cheesecake) and entertainment (Sam and Terri's wedding video, courtesy of my dad) and lots of activities (basketball, football, soccer, dancing) and Clyde only got hurt three times (frisbee to the mouth courtesy of himself, frisbee to the cheek courtesy of Uncle Sam, and basketball to the head courtesy of himself).

Chuck, Sam, and Quinn played a hilarious game of PIG while each holding their respective babies. Such good daddies!

So, as I was sitting here typing this post, Will came in and wanted to help. So here's his adorable recap of the fun:
"Then we played basketball of grown-ups. And Will didn't play. He want to do one trick. But Will try to get Daddy. And then he want to talk to him. So I will try to get him while we playing chasing. One day we tried to dance. Then we did turn on the radio and watch a show while we hear the music. But we try to have some fruit snacks we had and fun nuggets for Will and pizza for Daddy and we pump the volleyball just like a mummy ball. It has a hole in it but we played with it and then frisbee and then football and then soccer ball and then basketball."

All three siblings plus spouses embarked upon a Lightning tournament. There was five bucks on the line, so we all took it pretty seriously. Here are Quinn and Sam duking it out for the win:
Sam ended up winning the whole thing (best two out of three) although I randomly almost beat him one game until I started laughing so hard that I couldn't stand up straight to shoot. Blessedly there is no video of that one!

OH, Quinn was a superstar and dunked a football and I was a superstar and got this amazing picture of it.

My dad brought special berries for Terri! She was nice and shared :).

Chuck was frequently recruited to run/chase/play with Clyde and Will and Bailey - here they are in their eighteenth round of Ring Around the Rosie.

Bailey seriously didn't stop moving the whole three plus hours we were there, hence this adorable blurry picture of her :).

My dad's quite the dancer and in his never-ending quest to find some dancing talent in his children, he got all of us to shuffle around for a bit with our spouses.
Wait, I found the talent - Quinn and Eden! Notice Quinn sporting the handsome new sweater my dad gave him; he also wore it the next day to church and also on Christmas Day and possibly a few other days in there as well. Quinn will shamelessly wear any blue article of clothing that brings attention to his startlingly blue eyes.

Sam and Terri also went for a spin around the dance floor while Sam sported his new striped polo shirt. I think the 'amazing technicolor' shirt is fitting (literally and figuratively) because Sam's probably the sibling we would sell in a pinch - as a med student, I think he has the most marketable skills and would get the best price. Also, I love how Hazel and Terri both have the same semi-apprehensive look on their faces...

Obviously Chuck and I had to show everyone how it's done: by standing on the other person's feet! Chuck and Jack sported their new snow gear (gloves and hat, respectively) for the dance.

Here's a video of some of the dancing and Quinn being hilarious and such:

Oh, sorry about all the kissing :).

We gathered all the grandkids for a quick picture with Grandpa and then we called it a night!
Will insisted on sitting on top of Clyde, haha.

OH, it had started to rain as we got ready to leave, so Sam busted out some good old-fashioned chivalry and carried his slipper-boot-clad wife to their car.
Check out that manly pose - obviously on a testosterone high after his basketball victory :).

I love the picture with the grandkids. I especially like the three on grandpa's lap. Those three will have so much fun as they grow up!
