The next night we all gathered at Grandma Pam's for a delicious ham dinner and some more family bonding.
The kiddos all had fun with Grandma Pam's awesome toys and playroom and books!
Sam recruited Quinn and Clyde to join him on a treasure hunt for elusive childhood memories, but sadly found the crawl space empty and the attic just out of reach. (We pointed out the blue bins in the garage that are marked 'Sam's stuff' but apparently those weren't exciting enough).
So instead Sam and Quinn and I started playing the ever-popular "What I want when Mom dies" game as we inventoried our classic Little People toys in the garage (for the record, I called the airport and both airplanes... and also I definitely want one of the houses, preferably the blue and yellow one).
Sam got nervous that in our future time of grief and sadness we wouldn't respect his 'dibs' on the old Sesame Street clubhouse toy, so he opted to get his hands on it now. After a quick cleaning, it was good as new and ready for Bailey and Hazel to check out and it traveled with them back to Utah :).
The evening concluded on a festive note when we answered the door to find a group of carolers there to serenade us! They were somewhat long-winded, however, and slowly everyone else kind of retreated - but Jack and Bailey and I made it to the end!!
