EVERYthing October 2k19

Did October start with me being falsely accused of theft? Yes it did. Was the projector remote ever found? No it was not. Will this go down in history as one of the most famous unsolved crimes of our day? Obviously.

 Early morning crosswalk selfie.

Football game for Clyde, as the team wore the infamous "pee yellow" football jerseys. FYI: if your pee is that color, you need to drink some water, like, stat.

Family bonding.

Insta caption: Currently accepting ideas on how to get back at a co-worker who put his pistachio shells into my boots... leading to a hilariously classic moment of me sliding the boot on, sliding the boot off, and holding it upside down and watching them tumble out 😳👀👢😑😂.

I'm always here for beautiful sunrises!!

Insta caption for this photo shoot of Carma and Jack:
I just can’t take how cute their little faces are! Jack’s hair gets blonder and blonder and his little snaggletooth just kills me 😍😍😍. Carma’s sass and smirk and joy in life 🤩🤩🤩. Of course, it’s possible that I’m this gushy about them because Chuck is the one, um, privileged to get them ready for school every morning (aka pack lunches, argue about teeth brushing, find missing shoes, etc) but all in all, these two are pretty awesomely darling and I love them. Someone please remind me of all this in a few hours when they crawl into bed with me and I wake up with back pain 🤗😑😂

Oh hey and Willy boy too!

Leave your phone unattended in a middle school at your own risk ;).

Clyde and his football teammates at the school assembly.

Oh hey it's Jack:

Oh hey it's Clyde.

Oh hey our volleyball team made it to districts! Carma and I drove over to watch a couple games and CHEER!

Obvs we dressed the part.

Some snuggling later in the day:

I love reading about my enneagram - - sooo much of it rings soooo true. It helps me be more aware of what I'm doing and why.

General conference! The young women theme was updated and I love it:

Allll the traditions.

Alll the snuggling.

Back at work, time for selfies.

Love Carma's imagination and playing and doing hair and all that.

From instagram:

Insta caption:
I hope they always remember giggling together and always stay close to each other as they grow up 💕💕
Real life caption:
I hope they always remember giggling together, promptly followed by fighting/pinching, followed by grumpy bedtime routine where they’re still trying to hit each other during family prayer and then they’re all banished to their rooms, and always stay close to each other as they grow up and maybe get some kind of group discount when they all end up in therapy because their mom’s favorite term of endearment for them was ‘buttmunch’ 💕💕

I mean, is my desk a little chaotic and messy? Possibly.

That side by side comparison tho:

I never order my kids' school pictures but dang sometimes if I wish I did! Jack is so cute.

Wandered out to football practice one afternoon... it was... terrifying haha.

Read this... instantly made it my mantra for working with middle schoolers. It has paid off immensely.

Legit can't remember why I did this... but one braid is normal, one braid is backwards... like upside down... and the horrified reactions from the kids at school made it all worth it haha.

Will had an orchestra concert!!

So proud of him and his fellow musicians and SO impressed with his incredible orchestra teacher.

We ordered the orchestra shirt big to grow with him over his middle school career haha.

Falling asleep while snuggling Carma to sleep is a frequent occurrence for both Chuck and myself:

Carma's favorite meal, hands down, Costco orange chicken.

MY GIRLS:

Clyde had a choir concert!

No idea why Clyde and Will can't stand up normally haha but I love hearing Clyde sing and watching him enjoy his classmates.

Once upon a time I bought this shirt for my little brother as a nod to his legit Barney obsession as a child... and then I changed my mind and kept it haha.

Speaking of Quinner, he came up with his kiddos for their fall break and we headed to Jump Creek with Grandpa!

Insta caption: Finally made it back to Jump Creek, where Carma and I both began our venture in dry socks and dry shoes but made the return trip with dry socks and wet shoes (her) and dry shoes and no socks (me). 🤨🧦👟👀🤔

Love it when my little buddy is in town. My face says it all ;).

Insta caption: Any sports team would be lucky to have a fan like Jack, who confidently projected yesterday that BYU would win 58-0, fought hard to watch as much of the game as possible (waking up twice when chuck attempted to carry him to bed, before finally staying asleep circa 1030), watched all available highlights this morning before church, and is triumphantly referring to the 28-25 win as a blowout 😑😂👦🏼💙🏈🏆

Leaf jumping after church!

Flexing after school! I think it was Red Ribbon day?

Ohhh few more pictures of our Jump Creek adventure from my daddy's phone:

Jack's hair in his self portrait? On point. Literally.

Parent -teacher conference time! Started with Willy boy:

Then Carma! (and Jack I'm assuming...)

then back to East Valley for Clyde.

and a quick picture with Julia whose passion and love and compassion for middle schoolers is unrivaled and I want to be just like her.

Pumpkin patch adventures with cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Izatt:

Insta caption: Stick my kid in a sport and I immediately become an intense fan - who knew wrestling was so cool to watch? Clyde went 2-1 today and the selfie on the way home was worth the multiple hours sitting on bleachers ... I think... 🤔🤼‍♂️💛❤️🙌🏼

Aleesha put on a Halloween party which was amazing of course:

Dave and Terri with Liz and Bobby - we love them!

Traditional matching tights picture!

Not sure of the occasion, but Carma got both parents to snuggle with her this night.

Glow in the dark nerf!

Insta caption: Outfit of the day! err, morning? And every morning while it’s freaking freezing outside. I’m out on Greenhurst weekday mornings and afternoons, look for a bright orange vest, blue lips and a red nose! 🥶⛄️🧤🧣🆒🙌🏼

Took a quick picture during this training video because this I have to explain this soooo often to kids - no I can't let you just randomly walk down to the gas station, once you get on the bus in the morning or get dropped off, we are responsible for you, you can't just leave campus yo. It's a legal thing!

Love this.

Slightly scared of this:

I mean, I was warned that I'd have to wear the traffic cone costume for Halloween, but I'm not sure anyone can ever be truly prepared to shimmy into this epic ensemble:

Dwight K. Shrute, at your service!

More pictures of the traffic cone!

Clyde and I were at his wrestling meet and Chuck was at work, so Grandma Pam came to the rescue and took these three to our ward trunk-or-treat!... where apparently they wore different costumes but acted like rabbits and just ate lettuce?

Aaaand Clyde and I stayed up late creating his poster for English... happy Halloween! Happy October!
