july 2021: part ONE

Back to the best week ever with eight kids... which is super misleading because Clyde was at football a LOT and Will had 21st Century day camp every day from like 7 to 3, but close enough. At times all 8 of them were around ;).

This entire post is just July 1st through the morning of July 5th when I gave Quinn and Eden's kids back to them... I took many many pictures in those few days.

Early mornings before swim lessons were for hanging out on the front porch in pj's.

Last day of swim lessons = jumping off the diving board!!

Swim lessons were such a great experience, perfect way to get out and about every day and be active and have fun. Loved it.

Our usual daily picnic after getting the grab and go lunches in the park:

Thursday brought some excitement because Uncle Chuck was off work and took a collection of older kids to the arcade for a few hours:

Can we also appreciate that Chuck took a bajillion pictures of the kids at the arcade since I stayed home with Zeke? Whatta man.

Chuck being home and off work also meant we braved the swimming pool in the evening with the whole crew minus Clyde at football:

Cutie pie cousins after their swim.

E'rebody slept realllll good that night.

Morning time on the front porch with this cute boy:

Friday we headed out for the Meridian splash pad to meet up with Eden's awesome mom Pam!

Literally can't handle how cute this kid's smile is. What the heck.

Luckiest kiddos to have two amazing and loving grandmas named Pam!

Literally no idea what's happening here - a bearded gentleman having a picnic? With a mouse? I love Leila.

Saturday morning was the ward 4th of July breakfast at the church!

Cutest patriotric cousins ever!

Ohhhh man a picture with everyone semi looking at smiling! Go team!

Braden quad.

Izatt squad.

Me and my babies-for-the-week!

Saturday afternoon we ventured over to the (new!) South Meridian YMCA with Grandpa Braden!

After some time in the jungle gym area, we stumbled upon the two most amazing and completely empty of people playrooms:

and proceeded to spend like four hours there.

This one in particular was kind of a safe playing space for neurodivergent kids and families, and we were obsessed. So many cool things there.

... including some 'reset' type rooms!

Here's Will, brainstorming about how we can replicate a room like this at home haha.

Grandpa is a GOOD SPORT.

Hugs for Grandpa when we finally parted ways.

JUST TO PROVE that life with seven 'siblings' isn't always hearts and flowers, here's a cry for help from wee Carma June:

Alllll the cuddling with Zeke at bedtime...

and in the morning for breakfast!

To say I was delighted to have four extra children to coordinate outfits on Sunday for church is a slight understatement.

Does Carma own two of this same dress in slightly different sizes? She sure does. What a blessing:

Matching manicures.

We LOVE a matching brother duo.

The hilarity of Zeke interacting with this baby during sacrament meeting brought us to literal tears, see Jack's face that is so red from laughing.

Nathan figuring one extra kid in the after church photo might go unnoticed?

Everyone was definitely photo shoot ready!

A hearty thank you to Will and his tie for providing the red needed in the whole equation.

My four!

K I don't remember why he was sad but I promise we fixed it quickly ;).

Fourth of July poppers on the driveway before Chuck left for work.

Snuggling in on the trampoline to watch fireworks and sleep!

Facetiming Chuck at work so he would know all of the fun he was missing ;).

And then, just like that, it was time to wake up and load up and take these babies home! We were so so sad...

but they were so so happy to see their mom and dad!

Pretty sweet reunion! We loved having them, thanks for trusting us with them Quinn and Eden!!
