These dapper youth are pleased to welcome you to a brief recap of the church-related activities occurring within the existence of the Izatt family in April:
Easter Sunday outtakes. Always so, so many outtakes haha.
Gen Conf at the beginning of the month - and Chuck was actually off for it! Lots of fun activities: puzzles, coloring, toys, bingo, marshmallow structures, etc, etc.
Still not enough to keep some of us awake though...
Between Saturday sessions everyone looked lively for a nerf battle!
Always a good time and an excellent way to get outside and run around a bit.
Speaking of which, after conference on Sunday, this is where I found all four kids:
Caption via instagram: These four couldn’t stand to be next to each other during the morning session of conference... there were serious issues about sharing couch space and his blanket is too close to me and all that... and once they’re free from the living room for two hours? They all go out to the trampoline together and play adorably together forever. I don’t get them. WHATEVER.
Love this:
I was working on a lesson about strengthening our homes and I read this talk - I think it was President Eyring... anyways, it super struck me, specifically when the person praying mentions other family members by name. It led to the implementation of something we call 'three things' - every night when we round the gang up for scriptures and prayer, we go around and each person has a chance to say their three things for the day: something they did, something they're thankful for, and something they're worried about. It's been seriously the coolest - so much more connection as a family, kids feeling more 'seen' and recognized, the person praying has plenty of ideas about what to express gratitude or ask for help for.
April pack meeting = time to bounce Will from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. First he regaled us with some jokes:
and then he got loads of awards and pins and got to cross the bridge over to join his troop leader. We love celebrating Willy boy with other people who love and appreciate him!
Family selfie on the way home - Chuck had to go straight to work :(.
Katie tagged along with Clyde one night for Mutual - bubble balls and foot races anyone?
Sneaked away to the temple... accidentally wearing sneakers. It was fine and no one batted an eye and I feel like I'll always wear sneakers from now on?
Sometimes I forget Jack has a talk in primary until we arrive at church, meaning he gets a quick handwritten Jana Izatt original. He was pretty dang cute reading it at the little pulpit.
Clyde got to speak in sacrament meeting for the first time - blessedly he was on top of things and typed it up and was SO cute up there sharing it in the chapel.
So fun to watch his maturity and growth lately... too bad his suit couldn't keep up haha.
Ohhhh this beautiful girlie in her Sunday best!
