So, the boys took some swimming lessons in July. Like all of July - for Clyde at least. I had originally intended on signing them up for the second half of July, since that's then the Preschool class (for Clyde) and the Parent-Toddler class (for Will) were offered at the same, most convenient time. Then I found out a lot of Clyde's little friends were doing the first half of July, so we signed him up for that class too, and we're sooo glad we did. It took him a couple of days to warm up to the whole concept, but by the end of the second round of classes he was flopping around and under the water with no problem at all.
Kenzie and Clyde. So cute.
Little goofs!
On the last day of swimming lessons they let the kids go down the big slide - Clyde's teacher Miss Hannah took him (although you can't see her). Miss Hannah was SUCH a great teacher and I realized afterwards that I know her older brother really well, so that was funny.
Will loved the water too, and I loved that Chuck was able to do the lessons with him on his days off! Chuck definitely started a trend, because the first day he was the only dad (out of eight parents) and later that week, there were three or four other dads that started coming too :).
Scooping his arms towards the pink duck :).
Wheels on the Bus with some extra flair/splashing.
Life jacketed Clyde jumping in to his second teacher, Diana - we really liked her too.
(Of course, Heidi would have been our ideal swim teacher but the commute to Utah every day sounded daunting).
The last day Will got to go on the big slide too! Naturally, he loved it.
Action shot of Clyde and Diana heading into the water. He definitely went on the slide twice that day :).
Such a happy little swimmer!
And another happy little swimmer - with the same goofy 'smile'!
*This is our third summer (last year's rundown, year before's rundown) doing swimming lessons at the nearby pool through Nampa Parks and Rec and we really like the program - we'd definitely recommend it!

cute water babies! love the pictures!!!
Fun stuff! We keep vowing to do lessons at one of the outdoor pools, and manage to get signed up late enough that only the Rec Center pools have openings.
We need to go swimming the next time we come!
Cute little swimmers. Clyders is looking so big!
