Our last big outing on our Utah trip was to Bridal Veil Falls to admire the beautiful waterfall and try to keep two little boys (okay, mostly the ever curious and not as sure-footed Will) from tumbling into the nearby stream.
The water at the bottom of the waterfall was a little chilly, hence Clyde's semi-permanent perch on one of the bigger rocks:
Sam braved the water to take Will closer to the actual waterfall:
He was very careful with Will on the rocks, of course, although at one point he joked about leaving Will there alone for a minute so that we could get a better picture :)
Then it was Clyde's turn to venture to the middle of the waterfall:
Clyde delighted in throwing rocks into the water, and Sam was happy to oblige.

Then Clyde apparently decided Sam wasn't supplying them quickly enough and hopped down to collect his own. Sam wisely put the kibosh on the that right away.
Considering how hesitant he was to even stand in the water earlier (see the rock-perched picture again!) Clyde certainly became braver with time - he even deemed himself able to lead Sam back to dry land. Again, Sam pretty quickly put the kibosh on that and carried Clyde back instead.
This picture makes me laugh because it looks like Sam and Terri are just two random strangers walking along the path and it's just a total coincidence that the small boys they're each with look a lot like and are wearing matching outfits.
I wanted to take a nice picture of Sam and Terri, but that altered our ratio to just one adult to two small children, plus I had the camera in one hand. The biggest obstacle was luring Clyde out of the frame and away from two of his favorite people in the world.
But I managed!
Then it was back to the house to enjoy the remainder of our visit. Sam always takes the little boys for scooter rides around the parking lot when we're there, and this trip was no exception. Will is getting big enough that he really enjoys it, and Clyde was delighted to find that he's grown enough and can now reach the handles to 'help' Sam steer.
Don't worry, they go very s-l-o-w.
Aunt Terri, however, came up with the most popular ride of the trip: the Terri Train! Watch this video and tell me it's not the most hilarious thing you've seen all day:
Sidenote: Did you notice how Will was trying to push Clyde off at the beginning and then screamed when he couldn't? Funny baby!
What you didn't see is how quickly the boys scrambled up the stairs to do it again. They persuaded Terri into doing it a couple more times before the Terri Train closed down for the day. Pretty obvious why at various times during the trip when I asked Clyde who he wanted to help him with different tasks he always answered "Terri!"
We had such a great time on our Utah adventure; Clyde was so bummed that we had to leave. He kept asking to stay at their house, and when I reminded him that Daddy was back at home in Nampa he thought for a minute and then said, "Daddy come Sam and Terri's house!"Honestly, I'm hesitant to even tell Clyde that Sam and Terri will be his official guardians if something happens to both Chuck and myself for fear that he'll start praying for our immediate demises.

Terri gets "Aunt of the Year"--that looks fun but painful after a few trips on the Terri train!
Provo Canyon is one of my favorite places! So beautiful!
If I would have known my red pants mixed with the weight of those babies would make us travel so quickly down the stairs I would have set up a nice cushion for us to all land on. Oh Well, that is a lesson my body will not let me forget any time soon :)
