Monday July 5th Carma, Will, and I drove to Utah to give Quinn and Eden back their kids, and then we started some more adventures! We stopped by Nicole's house...
then went over to 'girl cousins' aka Sam's family for some cotton candy...
then back to Nicole's house to stay for the night and get haircuts!
Maverick was semi-okay with me holding him... heavy on the semi ;).
Instagram caption: Fresh cuts and thinning courtesy of Nicole ππΌ♂️ππ»♀️ππ»♀️, incredible braid and curl styling courtesy of Courtneyπ€©π€©… delicious baby snuggling courtesy of Mav and Lila ππ. If two of my best friends insist on continuing to live hours and hours away from me ππ at least it’s convenient for when I need to look good in Utah! So grateful for both Nic and Court for their incredible friendships to me and generosity of their time and talent π§‘π§‘π§‘.
Tuesday morning we drove north to meet up with Chuck, Clyde and Jack who had driven down that day (scheduling and enough seat belts meant we drove two different days in two different cars). We met up at our AirBnb for the week and settled in.
That night Clyde and I sneaked out to go watch Sam and Quinn play an indoor soccer game:
Quinn is wearing teal shorts and Sam is wearing navy blue shorts with white along the bottom.
It was really fun to watch and cheer for them and how fun it is for them to play on the same team together!
Sam and Quinn and their fans ;).
Wednesday morning we headed to Lagoon to meet up with some Izatt side cousins!
Fit check: my plan was to mostly stay in Lagoon-a-Beach for the day, so I dressed accordingly in my cute swimsuit and swim skirt.
George and Clyde mapping out their plan to "rope drop" and make it on the first run of Cannibal haha.
They made it!
Cute girlie in charge of Clyde's hat!
Chuck and Will 'blasting off'!
Loooong fun day in the sunshine!
Thursday was get dressed up day and hang out with family (there may have been a wedding? buuuuut the marriage has since ended so these few days will go down in Izatt family history as a fantastic family reunion where we all wore the same color clothes except Mallory who wore a beautiful white dress ;) ).
For sure recruited Courtney Hugo to do my hair and Carma's hair and I somehow convinced Lila to sit with me for a picture:
All the purple and yellow/gold coordination here. I was (and remain) so so proud of these six outfits. Fire.
They're the cutest and I love them.
Clyde and George photo shoot.
My joy in life is making them break character from their "cool kids" posing.
Lots more pictures while we hung out on the temple grounds for part of the family reunion:
Amanda taking a quick selfie ;).
Everyone admiring Mallory's beautiful dress!!
I'm always a sucker for a good sibling hug!
K but being their aunt is the best. Sweetest set of siblings ever.
I used this picture later in the month for Melissa's birthday - caption: Happy birthday to my favorite big sister ever! Melissa is incredibly competent and strong and brilliant and caring and beautiful. Living close to her when I was first married and had my oldest kids was such a blessing and I wish I had that chance again. Have an amazing day Melissa June, I love you π§‘π§‘π§‘
Who run the world? Oldest daughters.
Me and my sweet little girlie!
Chuck took this picture... I'm sure it was to document our amazing hair.
Dying - these boys are the cutest and I'm not sure I can handle them growing up.
Evening of games and food and visiting in the Blues' backyard!
Next morning? Back at it, with the cutest hair courtesy of Courtney again! Thank youuuuu!!!!
Quick drive-by of the in progress Layton Temple!!
For today's family reunion events, we put together a dance floor and a ton of delicious food at this super cool venue. We all wore our same outfits from the day before just for extra fun and coordinating and picture taking!
Once again Mallory was the star of the family reunion. What an incredibly beautiful individual inside and out.
Sweetest sisters.
Carma loved getting to match Anna and Emily!
Best family picture! It was hottttt, so Chuck and Clyde and Will all swapped out their long pants for shorts and were very happy with that decision.
Okkkkay, let's go, we're cute.
Photographer switched it to selfie mode haha.
Then back to us. Let the record show that one of us has a better 'go to' modeling face than the other.
Carma holding.... Oaklee? Maybe? Rach, help me out - this is your baby, right?
I love love love this picture of Melissa and Terri. Beautiful women.
Carma is a mooch.
Lawn games. I may have created an activity for a bunch of the wee children (a random baseball/badminton game?) to keep them all entertained for an hour. I'm basically the pied piper with less weird intentions?!
Another round of '08 bunch pictures:
Perfect built-in best friend trio.
Sweet Molly and Carme were the first ones on the dance floor - definitely a preview of what was to come as I look back five years later ;).
Don't drink (sparkling cider) alone - grab a cousin.
Favorite boyfriend to dance with.
They closed the dance floor down!
For like ten minutes, then hopped back up haha:
Winding down, couple more pictures.
Me and my cutie pie Bri.
Bestie siblings. Sometimes I think about these two being born so close (sixteen months apart, bless my mother in law's soul!) and how cute they must have been as toddlers - mostly Chuck getting away with making Melissa talk for him haha. Love them.
After a really good night's sleep (#exhausted) I left the rest of my family sleeping in at the AirBnb and sneaked over to watch Quinn and Sam play soccer again, this time outside and with a bunch of my sweet nieces and nephews to hang out with:
Bailey! Remi! Hazel! Leila! Miko! Isaac! Jett!
I will trust Jett with my hair any day of the week - look how alive and natural it looks!
More Saturday fun - art activity via youtube over at Aunt Amanda's house:
and walking back and forth between Blues and Lindsays.
Sunday morning we sneaked over for a couple more hours at Lagoon (#sinners, #getthemostoutofourpasses) with just the six of us before we drove home:
Clyde and Carma are besties.
Selfies of Carma and Chuck on the pirate ship ride that I can't remember the name of, peep Jack and Will a couple rows back.
Carma having second thoughts about Cannibal...
Clyde not letting her give in to the doubt haha.
(don't worry I think she ended up loving it?)
and then back to the car(s) for the long drive home!
I made Chuck drive ahead of me so he could be my pace car and keep me from getting pulled over ;).
Utah was so so good to us; we are the luckiest to have so much of our siblings/cousins/nieces/nephews that close and to be able to see them as we do. We love you all!!!
