May the Sports be With You

Clyde and Chuck headed out one evening for some tennis practice:
I was sooo happy that Clyde loved playing tennis through the school so much. We loved watching his matches and seeing his growth and improvement through the season! the instagram caption for the upper right picture: Milestone week for this kid: he finished his first season of tennis (and loved it! Because tennis is the best!🎾) AND allowed me to chaperone his choir field trip🎼🎀 to Festival today (although he sat with a girl that wasn’t me on the bus... weird right? Maybe he thought I was riding the other one and it was awkward to switch when I got on? We may never know 🀷🏻‍♀️). Clyde is adorable and getting so grown up and likes real music and sneaks candy like a pro. So proud πŸ˜‚.

We met up with Veronica and Alan for our annual tennis match at the end of May!
Instagram caption: Pro tip: don’t start off a tennis match by reminding your opponents that you’re lazy and generally won’t run to hit the ball- they WILL use that against you πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‚. Once again we split sets and once again the Catheys walked away with the win and once again we laughed... a lot... See y’all next time! 🎾🎾

As part of our plan to convince Willy boy that he was big enough to switch from BMX to mountain bike was to let him ride Clyde's bike a bit:

Of course Clyde promptly stole it back when he had a chance to hit up some mountain bike trails in Eagle with Chuck!

Sometimes we find ourselves at the Volkert' home while Clyde and Will help unearth some attic treasures... and Carma and Jack opt for somersaulting across their beautiful lawn haha:
Walk/run club concluded. I think Chuck was relieved ;).

Cute brothers!
 Eagle bike park...

 Biking around the church:
Jack was not thrilled to have to holster his guns for the group photo op. That child....

Evenings in our front yard are so pretty... and bike rides on the path are even prettier in the sunset light!
Bike park action - everyone's always thrilled when I take a whirl around even though I just stick to the tiny little bumps and not any actual hills haha.

Swimming lessons! All four kids did really well but Jack's progress was the most exciting. Per the instagram caption: Praise the heavens, Jack has made peace with the water! He aged out of the preschool level classes (having never actually passed one 😳) but randomly loved Level 1 and will now willingly jump into water, put his face in, retrieve toys from under the water... basically all the things I still refuse to do πŸ€—. Super psyched for and proud of our Jackers 🏊🏼‍♂️
