Holla. Although let's point out that Carma has a roll BUT ALSO candied yams, dinosaur nuggets, and jello hahahaha:
Plus, how can you expect a child to eat turkey when she recently pretended to be a turkey? Shawn did cute Thanksgiving crafts with the kids in the BioLife playroom, which Carma obviously loved.
The holiday started bright/foggy and early as various Izatts hopped on various wheeled modes of transportation and headed uphill to procure a newspaper for our perusing pleasure throughout the day - is it sad that I'm pretty chill with reading books and news online but I love the real feel of ads inserts haha?
NPR legit reposts this article every Thanksgiving and I never read it but always screenshot the headline to send to my brothers in an effort to get them to text me more often haha. Also I spent the morning out visiting Cody with my mama and it was so, so fun! Lemme tell you how a fantastic Thanksgiving goes: you spend the days leading up to it on a super fun trip to Utah, thus getting you out of any shopping or prep work. On the actual day, you spend a few hours out at the prison hanging out and playing card games and laughing, thus getting you out of any cooking or table setting. You and Grandma Pam roll back in at home juuuust in time to sit down and eat the amazing meal that Chuck is responsible for and once again you congratulate yourself on marrying wayyyy up ;). #blessed and #grateful
Chuck's parents were in town and Lee's family came over (have I mentioned yet that we're so happy they landed in Nampa? Because we are!) so they spent the morning playing games and doing puzzles and reading books:
And the kids headed out for some biking and scootering on the path.
Chuck and I sneaked out later in the day and went on a bike ride date along the path.
Grandma Pam and Carma ambitiously set out to walk as far as they could back to her house before it got to dark - they made it across to Southside before calling for an uber, aka me haha:
So it turns out Thanksgiving falling somewhat early in the month and also two trips out of town in weeks prior adds up to a pretty nekkid Thanksgiving tree, whoops! We'll make up for it in 2018 fo sho. Also, Will's leaves indicating his gratitude for "anyone who reads this" and "anyone who doesn't read this" still make me laugh pretty hard ;).
HAPPPPPY Thanksgiving 2017. It was a pretty great one.
